Here, you’ll work with cybersecurity experts on the forefront of threat protection and proactive prevention. In this fast-paced, real-world environment, you’ll draw on all your education and experience as well as the resources of Lockheed Martin to keep the threats at bay.
THE WORK:
The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

- Assist in creating and executing test procedures for software components.
- Document test results and ensure compliance with design requirements.
- - - Documentation & Process Improvement - -
- Write or review software and system documentation.
- Recommend enhancements to documentation standards and overall software development processes.
- Lead project teams at the appropriate level for the chosen development methodology.
- Work closely with users, system engineers, and other stakeholders to analyze system flow, data usage, and work processes, and to address problem areas. - Current DoD Top Secret SCI with Polygraph
One of the following educational backgrounds:
- A High School Diploma or GED plus four (4) years of general software engineering experience or
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
